Moving In and Loving Life

Hey bloggers and readers,

It has been a while since my last update, but I have been rather busy. I feel like I am experiencing the start of my new and amazing chapter in my life.
• On Friday, I moved into my new apartment with my boyfriend, Cory, at school, my mom, dad, and brother all came to help and slept over till Saturday. We all met up with Cory's family in their cute little town for lunch, then my parents went on their way back home. Later the night, I went to my first ever Steeler's game! It was preseason, and a terrible thunderstorm delayed it by over an hour, at that time we drove back to the apt to watch a movie.
• Sunday was great! We went grocery shopping and enjoyed each other's company. I established that at least once a week we make dinner together. This week was margharita pizza!

• On Monday, Cory had to go to work. He works for UPMC and after he volumteers/works at a lab; he's pre-med. I also did his laundry at the local laundromat...that was the worst ever. I am really going to do what he does and go home to his mom's on the weekend and do it there because I guarantee her dryer works a million times better! I also went to get my Pitt ID. yayyy!

• Today, Tuesday, I realized how much I love my life right now. I feel a little like a housewife, but Cory doesn't expect any of that from me. I just am a cleaning freak at times, so when I go off on cleaning the kitchen and organizing, that's all me. I wrote up a list of things for Cory to do, too haha. So Cory is at work and I am here writing this blog. I am completely content and overall as happy as a clam. School starts in two weeks! I'm going to try and go apply at AE today, hoping it will raise my prospect of applying for their summer internship for next year.

Please do not hesitate to comment. I miss you guys, I promise I will try and write more thought-provoking posts soon. I am just too happy to not write about what has been going on lately. I am actually not much of a self-talker. <3

In your opinion...

Hello Monday Bloggers!
Today I am very curious about everything. So I have put up a few "in your opinion" statements and feel free to answer as many or as little you want. The more participation, the better! Hope you will join <3

• in your opinion, Evian's face spray for that 'dewey' look; what do you think of it?
• in your opinion, collegiates walking around campus in heels.
• in your opinion, paying $30 for a lipstick that is similar to the one you want.
• in your opinion, new Degrassi episodes.
• in your opinion, Jack Wills clothing line.
• in your opinion, the latest Teen Vogue magazine (Sept).
• in your opinion, what's the best make-up line out there and why.
• in your opinion, what clothing line is the best out there and why.

Wishing for your opinions and thoughts! I love reading opinions and formulating my own knowing what others think as well. :) Hope your weekend was wonderful -e

One more week...

And the countdown officially starts: I have got exactly one week until my family moves me into my apartment at Pitt. I don't want to pack all of my remaining clothing, but I know I must. (The remaining clothing are actually the nicer looking stuff I have).

Update on my summer course: I received a A- in the course (thanks to two tests that I received a B on). But good news: I received a 95% on my US economy research paper!

In my free time this past week I have been re-studying my spanish notes and from my old book since I didn't get the chance to continue my spanish class this past spring semester. I skipped a level going into Pitt since I do know conversational Spanish because half of my family speaks it. Grammar in writing always gets me in foreign languages. I can speak it in a conversation without thinking about conjugation and tenses and all that. I just know it. But when I write an email in Spanish, oh man, I have to actually stop and think - "where does the accent go" "is it correctly spelled" "am I using the correct tense and conjugation"??? If you've taken a language I'm sure you know exactly what I am talking about. Don't get me started about German!

Alright guys, I need your opinion! I met up with a close friend of mine from my first college and she was telling me how she was reading Eat, Pray Love. I am very excited for the movie, mostly because of Julia Roberts and James Franco, and all of the travel scenes. So she got me into wanting to get the book and reading it before I go to see the movie, well, I went online first to read reviews and there are many many bad reviews about the book! Through word-of-mouth all I've heard was positive reviews, but online reviews were mostly negative. Anyone actually read it and can tell me their opinion. And if you get the chance, read the negatives online and tell me what you think!
One thing I absolutely hate doing is wasting my time reading a book and not being able to finish it.

In the meantime, I am going out to get "The Surgeons: Life and Death in a Top Heart Center." The bad reviewers just had a conflicting interest in the medical world. I love learning about things that my boyfriend studies in school and will want to become :)

Textbooks and Summer Food

Hello fellow blog buddies:)
I just wanted to give out a big thanks to my followers and to those who have commented my few post already. It is very much appreciated and every time I see a new comment or follower I am filled with ecstatic joy! So thank you♥

Onto other business, over the weekend I have successfully sold and shipped three old college texts on Amazon. Made about $5 per book (shipping eats up most of the profits) but its $15 extra dollars and 3 less books taking up space.
I also returned my summer course book to Chegg. I am officially finished with my summer online macro course and I'm pretty sure I got an A...it wasn't very hard and I feel so proud for being rather productive this summer!

Today, I wanted to recommend a select few of the yummy food I had the privilege to experience over the week. Mom had gone out and bought fresh groceries for the weekend grillin' that my family loves to do. (P.S. I am a vegetarian and half-healthnut, so I will not have any meaty/bad fatty stuff on here.)

First we have the best bread-dipping oil on earth! It has cooked garlic inside the bottle and that strong hint of garlic makes this artisan oil absolutely a must with that dinner loaf.

Next, a wonderful appetizer, snack, or even a topper for a bean salad bruschetta! Ingredients:Barley, Navy Beans, Chick Peas, Green Pepper, Red Pepper, Green Onions, Canola Oil, Sundried Tomato, Pesto Sauce, Garlic Puree, and a few small flavorful extras. (Pictured Brand: Wegmans)

I hope you get the opportunity to try these out, I highly recommend them, especially for garlic lovers ;)
If you do get the chance to try them or find any similar products worth sharing, please do <3
